Did you know that the three-point seat belt was a Swedish innovation?

19 May 2021  The three-point seat belt was invented by Volvo in Sweden in 1959. Subsequently, Volvo gifted it to the world by letting other car manufacturers use this seat belt without patent fees.

This safety protocol is like social distancing , washing hands and wearing face masks , fastening seat belts or wearing helmets, could save many lives.

Since 2020, the Embassy of Sweden has been coordinating a group called “the Embassy Friends of Road Safety ” to promote road safety in Thailand  by working with the Thai authorities, international organizations and NGOs through campaigns to reduce road fatalities and accidents in Thailand.
