From now on Vietnam and Denmark will share experiences and knowledge about healthcare. On Tuesday 21 August the Danish embassy in Vietnam entered a memorandum of understanding with Vietnam Social Security (VSS).

A memorandum of understanding is a nonbinding agreement between two parties that outlines the terms and details of an understanding, including each parties’ requirements and responsibilities.

So far, the agreement between Denmark and Vietnam will last until 2020 and might be extended by other areas of collaborations upon mutual agreement.

The aim of the memorandum of understanding is to facilitate knowledge exchange of non-communicable diseases, health insurance policies, health-care development as well as to advance health economics.

During the agreement, training courses on capacity enhancement in Vietnam and short-courses in Denmark for VSS staff will be offered.
