The Move Forward Party and its coalition will announce the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in forming a new Thailand government on Monday, 22 May 2023 at 4.30 PM.

The date and time is the same period the military led by Prayut Chan-O-Cha performed the coup in Thailand nine years ago.
It has been a week after a major surprise from Thailand’s general election in which Move Forward Party – a political party fighting for democracy, received the highest votes from Thai citizens.
With 152 seats to be in the parliament house, the Move Forward Party became the leader in forming the new government with the other seven parties. These made the total number of seats to 313.
Although, 313 is not enough to present the prime minister candidate, Pita Limjaroenrat, to the parliament house. They would need to gain more votes from the opposition and all 250 assigned senators to reach 376.
General public and political analysts have voiced their concern about the unfairness of how the 250 assigned senators would have extreme power to determine Thailand political directions.
These have pressured some assigned senators to come out and speak up whether they will respect the consensus of the people or vote against it.
Hence, it is intriguing to follow up if Thailand will be allowed to pursue better change and strengthen democracy in order to move back into the world trend and step up its game to the universal standard after the country has been frozen for nine years.
