On 24 November 2020 Norwegian Mission to ASEAN and the Norwegian Embassy in Hanoi, in coordination with the ASEAN Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, successfully organised a workshop on Enhancing the Roles of ASEAN Women in Sustainable Peace and Security.
The hybrid event was attended by many high-ranking leaders from Vietnam, Norway and ASEAN. Deputy Foreign Minister, Head of the Vietnam ASEAN SOM H.E. Nguyen Quoc Dung and Constituted State Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs H.E. Marte Ziolkowski opened the Workshop. Norway’s Ambassadors to Vietnam, Grete Lochen, and to ASEAN, Morten Hoglund also took part in the event online from Oslo and Jarkata.
Constituted State Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs H.E. Marte Ziolkowski said “Norway appreciates the close partnership with Vietnam and ASEAN on various issues including women, peace and security, and is committed to work closely with our partners to bring this agenda forward.”
